The day she grabbed my hand was on that started an adventure. She smiled and told me how we would be traveling. On foot, she breathed. We shall run faster than the wind, she told me with sparkling eyes. And so we began to move our feet, joined together by our tightly clasped hands. I followed her loyally, and she rewarded me with more options in our journey. One day I pulled our duo in another direction, for I saw a great adventure in the distance. For I, three years ago, did not know the fantasy in store. Did not know the stories I would enter and influence with my humble state of mind. For I, foolish and young, could not see the warning signs or the blaring red lights. Could not see the enemies before me or the friends that held a sword to my neck. For I, so naive, took the chance to transform. Took the chance to be dog, cat and wolf. Took the risk to be left with only the whimpering cries of human.

If there's one thing I have learned in life, it's that it's hard. Really, really hard. Some days will be so bad that your heart will wrench with the heaviness of it.
